The Corpse Bride Halloween Shoot

A Styled Halloween Shoot

It’s been a full month since I attended the Amazing Sassterclass organised by Sassy from Assassynation.  I’ve yet to write a review of my experience and I will soon (it’s just difficult to put into words and I want to do it justice!) but I have to post these photos today as it’s Halloween and really today’s the best time to post photos of a Halloween Inspired styled shoot!  On the last day of the workshop, Sassy surprised us all with this styled set up, split us up into pairs to have 10 minutes directing the couple and the set, and the birds!  I opted to shoot on film for most of the workshop, and these were all taken on my trusty mamiya 645 pro, and mostly Kodak portra.  I requested that the scans be darker than usual, and UK Film Lab certainly delivered!

Then I ran out of film. So here’s one on digital that I played around with a bit.

Many thanks for making it all happen Sassy and to our really patient real life couple!  Sassy’s photos are being published in Rock and Roll Bride later today.  I can’t wait to see them myself!
